Soyo for 2 weeks

dmvaldez

I'm a US citizen travelling to Soyo for a couple of weeks in March. I have my visa, vaccinations & Malaria pills etc. I'm staying at the Nembanzu hotel. I love seafood, especially the lobster I'm hearing about.

My questions are:

What should I bring besides the basics?
I love photography as a hobby and have a relatively expensive DSLR. Are there any do's & don'ts besides police/military?
Am I going to have communication problems because I only speak English and limited Spanish?

Any other advice like places to eat (what to avoid), sightseeing or things to do would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure why you are going to Soyo for but Benguela or Huila (Lubango) would be the places to go... I mean South of Angola.
