Hi everyone,
My name is Ana, and I recently moved to Pointe-Noire. Although I’m originally half Portuguese and half Angolan, I’m here as a Canadian because my husband, who works in the oil and gas industry, is also Canadian. He works long hours, and I often feel lost and alone in this new environment.
I hope to connect with other expat wives, expats, or anyone who can show me around.
There are in-town and expat clubs that I could join. Meeting people who understand the challenges of adapting to life far from home would be amazing. I’d also love any advice on getting to know the town, activities to try, or ways to spend my time here.
I'd be so grateful if anyone has suggestions or would like to meet up. I look forward to making new friends and joining this community.
