This is a great idea! You should concretize your idea, i.e. set up a date and time, a theme, a location for your meet-up...
You could maybe have a look on how we were doing things in Mauritius.

This is of course, just an example to show you the format which is clear to everybody. Of course there are different things to do in Ethiopia, such as walks, treks, picnics, etc...

For a start, it is better to nominate an organizing committee. Also, a posting at noticeboard of Limetree-a cafe at Boston building (hope most expats in Addis are aware of this place, as it is one of the places frequented by expats) could be a good idea to inform many expats.
