SCHOOL RECOMMENDATION

Catelyn1234

Hey everyone , I’m looking for school recommendations around Runda that offers the best tuition for a 3 year old . I have seen there is brook house and Braeburn garden estate. Which one is most recommended or any other great school around Runda that offers the British curriculum?

The following schools are worth considering:

Durham International School in Thigiri, isn't too far and is an international branch of Durham School known in the UK, which is an independent school with an excellent reputation.

Brookhouse School, Runda - well established and with a good reputation.

Braeburn Garden Estate - Another good choice, a few years ago our granddaughter attended the Thika branch  and overall we were satisfied with the school, despite a move to a new site and associated teething problems mid way.

Consider how you are going to access the school - traffic in Nairobi is horrendous and particularly so around school drop-off/pick-up, so that even a relatively short distance can mean lengthy periods in traffic, which is extra tiring for children.

Bear in mind that schools that follow the UK curriculum also follow the UK school year, so the 'summer holiday' is actually though the coldest months, where Kenyan schools break at the end of October, through to January (during the better weather).Â
