Basketball an option in Tripoli?

Hi all,

I'm going to Tripoli tomorrow, and I'll be bringing my basketball. I don't have details of the hotel yet, but assume somewhere central. Are there any outdoor courts where I can shoot some hoops, or even better join a pickup game?

Basket ball is not a very popular sport in Tripoli; nevertheless, there is lots of places where u can find courts & fans.

There is plenty, once u r in the hotel u can ask the staff for the nearest one, i dont know exactly where everyone is.

Hey,

There's a public place near the sea, across the street from the Radisson hotel, some guys come daily around 5pm but don't expect any challenging gameplay unless you come on Thursdays or Fridays. Games here are played usually 3-3 half court, first to 10 points, rotation system when there are more than 2 teams. You can easily mingle with the guys, they're quite friendly but most lack skill but try to compensate with...enthusiasm
