Squash and Hockey

Hi everyone, I'm moving to Mauritius with the family in August from Belgium (though I'm British and my wife is French) and wondered whether anyone could tell me whether there is a lively community of people playing a) squash and b) field hockey? We will be living in or near Tamarin. I've seen a couple of old posts on here but nothing recent so I'm really keen to find out whether there are even facilities for both sports (squash courts and hockey fields)...? Hi,

I understand that there are brand new squash courts coming soon in Tamarin with the opening of RM club next to the shopping centre at the entrance of Tamarin. In the meantime you have two old playable courts at Le Tamarin Chambre d'hotes of Jean Pierre Florens.
