Mauritian Culture

kevinson

Hi all!

I know that many tourists come here to have a break in their routine works, to enjoy the tropical sun, to enjoy the blue lagoons, to breathe the pure air & to live in this stable country where all communities live peacefully.

Some tourists go to restaurants, bars, night clubs, pool clubs, discotheques, etc. But these are found in all countries!

So what will make your holidays here different & memorable. What will make you feel the real difference between your country & here???

Its culture of course. Befriend mauritians & yea most of them are very friendly, but beware not all of them are like that, some are bad & crooked ones too! \

After having some honest, reliable & trustworthy friend, you ask them to introduce you to Mauritian Culture which includes the following:

1. Creole language
2. Assisting weddings of different communities(Muslims, Hindu,    Tamil, Telegu, Christian, Chinese)
3. Know how to prepare & eat Mauritian foods, eat them in Mauritian way.
4. Wear Mauritian clothes such as those of muslims, hindus & chinese.

People mostly differ from language, food & clothing, try to discover these & have a good experience. Look around where you staying, befriend some good Mauritians & thats it!

Bye! Have a nice holiday here.

It may be in the form of Sega, Reggae, Dancehall, Coupé Décalé, Zouk or various others.
