Hello, I will be marrying my fiance in January and permanently moving to Tunisia also. Once married, I will open a bank account, probably a foreign and Tunisian account to buy a house for us...... as I want our privacy as newlyweds and don't want to stay on the family compound/ house. My question is if the bank account is in my name only, can my husband access it , or will I need both names on account for him?

Second question has to do with the property. I don't even want to think like this, but in case of divorce, would my husband have a claim or half claim to the property? Any help would be much appreciated.聽 Thanks

for the聽 bank account just聽 open it alone he聽 can't聽 access聽 it

For聽 the house , in the contract聽 of marriage choose the聽 option of聽 property separation so any property聽 acquired聽 during the marriage ( after divorce聽聽GOD聽 forbid )聽 will not be able to claim or聽 half聽 claim

don't forget to聽聽use聽聽a trusted聽聽lawyer聽聽from聽 a聽 list聽聽provided聽聽from your聽 embassy
