Hello,

I have been searching for information on the use of the Internet in China. I have heard or read basic comments like "mine was fast" or "it depends on where you live", but can not seem to come up with the real details.

Americans hear only the bad information, like Google or Apple, but how much of this really matters to the average person?

I read an article about Apple having troubles in China, but does it effect a person using a Mac, or surfing the web with Firefox / a non-Internet Explorer program?

What type of websites or information is not allowed to be viewed / downloaded?

the speed is OK ; but youtube and facebook are all blocked.
