Hi Siyula, may i konw what kind of music scene you like? The ones in bars & clubs or in a music hall?
Bad news is that there are few music festival in guangzhou.
I have been staying here for more than 4 years and i love playing music too. I played keyboard when i was in university.

Will any of you be attending Sun Yat-Sen University? I am going to their business school.

Next weekend there are two big festivals. one is near the beer factory by the river. it will go all day and into the night. They have bands in the afternoon and some of GZ best DJ in the evening and into the night!

China is actually huge into music, especially for the summer. Nearly every weekend is a HUGE festival, beach party or boat party! LOTS to do and see!!
