Gay nightlife in Shenzhen

Hello All,

As a soon-to-be resident of Shenzhen, I'd like to know: How are the nightlife options for Shenzhen's gay community? I know a lot of LGBT people end up hopping a bus for Hong Kong on the weekends, but I'm hoping there are also options available in Shenzhen itself.

Any feedback/advice you can give is greatly appreciated. There was another discussion about this on the forum from a couple years ago, but things change quickly, and info from a couple years ago is probably severely out-of-date. The same goes for listings on Utopia Asia and similar websites, so PLEASE don't bother directing me to them -- all their posts are at least three years old as well!

Have either of you found anything new out? I've been out once to the two options I know of (Ice Cream and Why Not), and wasn't particularly impressed.
