Foreigners can conveniently apply for a second-home visa through a website-based application (visa-online.imigrasi.go.id). The required documents are as follows:

True. It's for 2nd home rather than tourism.

The cash weeds out the dross.

Harald54

Generally the trend goes to wealthy tourism and 2nd home. Pepper attracting.

Even the requirements for digital nomads visa all around the world exceed normal income by far.

Fred

That's easy - They're looking for higher quality people.

Cash doesn't ensure it, but it draws a line that drunken bogans can't cross with any ease.

Is more money equal more quality, or just quantity?

-@Harald54

Not always always higher quality, but often.

The sort of drunken Australians we all too often see in Bali rarely have enough cash to obtain a visa like this as, for most ordinary people, the 2 billion is sell your house money. So yes, this is more likely to attract a better sort of person.

That would depend on your definition of paradise. It varies from person to person.

@Fred

hi.Β  i dont see the advantage of this over the retirement visa.

we are planning to retire there and i believe we can renew upto 5 years and then reapply.

the bank requiremwnt was something like 20million rp per month income.

we have land already through family there and cost to build home was under 50k.

Β  I suppose that would depend on whether or notΒ  someone is retiring.

If not perhaps this is the better option
