School Holiday Activities in Indonesia

Diksha

Hi everyone,

Finding suitable activities for your children during the school holidays in Indonesia can be tricky. We'd love to hear your tips and feedback on how to keep your kids busy during the holidays in Indonesia, depending on your finances.

Which activities are your children taking part in this year?

How did you enrol them for these activities, did you have to sign them up for it in advance?

How did you find out about these activities in Indonesia (via their school, by talking to other parents, through newspapers, social networks, etc.)?

Are these activities charged or free?

How many hours per day do they last? Are meals or snacks included? Is a transport service, such as a minibus to pick up the children at home in the morning and bring them back in the afternoon, offered?

Thanks for your contribution!

Diksha,

Due to pandemic situation, there are a lot of online activies or classes we can sign up. Usually I found ads in the social media.

As for learning material at home, I usually use google to search it. Some of the material would be free, some need to purchase or subscribe.

I use teacher pays teacher for the learning material at home

Hi Diksha, it might be a topic best voided this year as we are in the midst of a pandemic and Indonesia is one of the worst affected countries in the world. My kids certainly will not be participating in any holiday activities this year.

Sorry I don't have a "holiday" idea because we home school due to schools are closed to the Covid pandemic. I'm confused what holiday are you referring too? Schools are not on holiday they're closed to the Covid pandemic.

Hi Diksha,

I have no children in Bali, what can I say Is  what I see happens with my friends in normal times, since now we are in semi-lockdown and schools are been closed from long time.
Locals usually let the children free to meet  their friends and play togheter, u can see group of them in the beaches, for examole, while ²ÝÁñÉçÇøs with deep pockets send the children in some Club to have sports and recreative axtivities.
