Hello expat community!
My name is Nick and I'll be moving to Astana(from the US) in a week or two to start working on a construction project as a technical worker.
I'm slowly learning to speak/read Russian, already have some good winter clothes, and just got my necessary paperwork for my work visa.
I'll only have one day off per week(Sunday), but would love to meet up with someone who speaks English to explore the city in the first few months.
I'm not quite sure what to expect culturally, but I'm confident I'll make the best of every situation.
I would like to ask if there is anything I absolute should or should not attempt to bring with me that won't be available in Astana.
