Would i get a clean small (i.e.bed-sit or small apartment) in or around Pokhara for $200 month on a year long deal?

Yes, that should be possible.

For that kind of money, depending on the area where you're looking in Pokhara, you would probably be able to rent your own private, compounded bungalow, so a simple room, yes sure...

Next thing would be finding a place which would be available to you. For that you will need to hook up to some Nepali persons who would be willing to put out their feelers which their contacts on what might be available for renting. I would expect a hotel owner or restaurant owner around Pokhara to be willing to help you with this...
