For All New & Potential ²ÝÁñÉçÇøs in Singapore

The Transporter

OK, this is a retry at an original post !

I would be grateful of feedback from the general expat population for the following:

I have been approached by some of my own clients to start a company in Singapore that will cater to the needs of ²ÝÁñÉçÇøs (New, Old & Potential)

This company will primarily be involved in providing advice and assistance to all in the areas of:

Group Activities
Sports Events
²ÝÁñÉçÇø Orientated Events
Housing
Schooling
Everyday Shopping
Travel within Asia

..... and so on !!!

The advice provided will be a mixture of expat, local and local with expat perspective

The main question here is:

Do you (the general expat community) think that your life would be easier for you transition into Singapore if you knew you could turn to a expat company to receive advice on anything ???

Thanks

Iain

Nope, there is a plenty of free information :)

Hard to say. I think most expats get the logistical help from their relocation companies and the activities are something that we find very quickly once we arrive and get settled.

For my case I was helped on getting an accommodation. But 3 months later I transferred.

Well, I was pretty much aware about everything even before I landed in Singapore... thanks to my relocation company :)

Singapore is easy, everything is in English, works well and most things are easily understood. Even finding friends is easier here than elsewhere!
I think you should start your company in places like China, where most foreigners cannot speak, read, write and understand!

I agree  with beppi If I would have had something like this when I originally came to China my life would have been much easier!

Lost Nomad

Yes, agree w/ beppi. I think that line of business will definitely make transfer to countries like Kazakhstan, Gabon or Sudan less stressful and expats would surely depends on your company for as long as they assigned there. We were in Libya last time when we'd wished million times for some kind of relocation companies to help us.

I believe your clients need your service, maybe not for those who know how to use the internet well.

But yeah. there is still a good market for those who dont know how to use the internet to find information. Cheers!
