Can foreigners work as self-employed in Taiwan? What are the formalities to work as a freelancer?

What are the pros and cons of this status: social security, tax system, etc.?

How is the freelance market in Taiwan?

Hi,

I am currently looking to set up in Taiwan to work in communication (web design, graphic design, etc.).

Like yourself, I would like to know what is the best, open a legal company ? work as freelancer ? Is there a freelancer legal status ?

I don't start from nothing cause I am not alone and already have a company name/portfolio in Vietnam but I would like to expand with a new one in Taipei. What is the best solution ?
