Sending a parcel from Vietnam.

bertieboy123

Hi Everyone.

Does anybody know the cheapest way to send a parcel maybe 20 kg from Vietnam to the UK ? I have only come across very expensive services, 3 times the cost of UK to Vietnam.

TIA

Regards

Mike

While my experience is in shipping US to VN and vice versa even using FedEx on our account in the US to get the same discount I do see it higher going to US from here than US to here. It's usually about 20-30% more for the same package.  I often send packages to the US that they evaluate or have the product recalibrated and the exact same package shipped back to me.

For someone that doesn't have an account with a carrier probably DHL will be the best if it is needed quickly.  If you have a couple of weeks at least look at Vietnam Post.  If you can work in that lead time the price will definitely be much cheaper.

Also with any of the air carriers - UPS, fedEx or DHL when asking for a quote be sure you ask for economy or deferred shipping.  For example going FedEx International Priority is 3 day service where Economy is 7--8 day service but much less expensive.
