Best place to live in Costa Rica

Canadian2328

My Husband and I are looking to move to Costa Rica and are torn between the following towns:
1.Playa Hermosa
2.Coco beach
3. Playa Ocotal

and any one of those beach towns.
We want long term inexpensive and clean accomodation... Any suggestions?

Hi! You should try the Costa Rica classifieds > accommodation section.

Good luck

Victoria,
I am not a beach person, but one thing to consider regardless of where in Costa Rica you want to live is the microclimate. Are you looking for a dry area like Guanacaste or wet area like Limon?

we are looking to go to Guanacaste Region.
Any ideas?

you will find out that the coast is hot and westerners are not made for hot climates... also, the beach is a melancholic dream, a deceptive romance with a non-Costa Rican North American life style, in the long run you will wish to move to higher altitudes, to the mountains, the real Costa Rica, and less crime as well

Victoria,
I recommend that you rent in that area for 1 year before deciding to buy a home.

I'm probably to late, but Playa Grande is the best place to live. You can get good accommodation here very reasonable.
