When your kids become teens in Panama

Larissa0985

We are thinking of moving to Panama with 2 small children.  Is it really safe for kids?  Are there many kidnappings?  I also worry that if we were to stay there, once the kids becomes teenagers and have more freedom, they would be more at risk of being in the wrong place at the wrong time especially after reading about the 100+ gangs that are there.  I would appreciate if anyone with children or teens in Panama could answer this.  Thank you.

Hello larissa! I have a three-year old son. As a fact i know there are not kidnappings anywhere and i really read the newspapers everyday! In relation to those so called gangs that's in the poor and noneducated portion of the country.. so your kids would never get in touch with those people as they dont study or live near the City centre. Of course most importantly is that you give your kids the best values you can.
