Job offer declined by employer after issuing single permit anexx46

Hi,

I got an offer from a reputed company, they started processing my single permit type D visa
after waiting for a long period i for single permit annex 46, then the very next day employer contacted me saying that they dont have that position now since the process took so long 4 months.

I dont have RP card but i have a valid visa in my passport valid till sept 2022

is it possible to travel to Belgium with that visa and search a new job?

Is it possible to transfer the single permit to new employer from Belgium?

@akhiljose I have only just seen this and wanted to say I'm sorry this happened to you. The permit is tied to employer I believe. I also have a similar issue with time (although my employer did not withdraw the offer- they gave it 5 months before I was due to start and my visa took 6months because of both them and the agency they employed stuffing up- I would've been livid if they withdrew it because it's their fault- they should budget in this time! I don't have any advice but I hope you are well. Certainly look at any other European country- maybe the UK as they do not have EU immigrants now they may have more need?

I'm so sorry you are going through this and most employers know how long the process takes once they start so I'm surprised they backtracked. Anyway, from what I've read on the immigration websites, you can't use one company's WP for another company. With new job, your new employer must apply for WP for you as well. Your situation is tricky cos even though you have a visa, it's tied to the job which is no longer available so I think if you go there without a job at hand, it might land you in a difficult situation legally and from immigration.

Nonetheless, I think you can ask anyone in the legal field/immigration on how to go about this situation.
