Golf courses in Cyprus

Huckleberry2025

Hi everyone. We are considering a move to Cyprus and golf is a must-have, along with the sea and fantastic food. Is there much of a golfing life? If so, do you recommend a specific area for us to check out? We live in Spain now so it's an easy hop to come visit some places. Thank you in advance.

Hi - I'm moving to Paphos next month and golf also a must. There are 4 courses around Paphos - all are excellent with good facilities. Aphrodite Hills is heading towards Limassol and is the most exclusive (& expensive about 4k annual membership). Secret Valley is also out in that direction - membership I think about 2.5k. Elea is the closest to Paphos membership again around 2.5k. Menthis Hills is to the north and as the name suggests is higher up and a bit undulating to say the least. All may charge a joining fee, but also offer different memberships (twilight etc). I'm looking to join Elea as it's closest to where I'll be living and quite flat. I'm not sure about courses elsewhere in Cyprus - don't  think there's much.

Oh my gosh, this is fantastic. Thank you for the quick reply. We live in Costa de Sol so undulating is the norm. I saw that cluster of courses on the map so I'm happy to hear more about them. We were looking at Malta but they only have one course. John eliminated it immediately (LOL). Good luck with the move.

Thanks again.

As @rgray27 says, Paphos is very well-established from a golfing perspective. Also it's a very nice city/region for living. Aphrodite Hills, in particular, is a very fancy place with some high-end property if you want to live near your golf course (and have the budget).

We lived in Limassol, and were very happy there. There are now several golf courses under construction (Limassol Greens near the new City of Dreams mega resort, Eagle Pine Resort, and Limassol Hills up above the city) so this might be an option too, depending on your timescale.

You can find fancy websites for the above mentioned courses and associated residential properties.
