Space heater?

acosgriff

I’m a mom writing from the US.  My son is 19 and going to school in Prague.  He is very cold in his apartment.  Where would you suggest that he go to buy a space heater?  He lives in the old town and does not have a car, he can use trains, trams, etc.  thank you from a concerned mom.

yea, we're in a deep freeze lately, and it's not getting better anytime soon.  but there's also an energy crisis (there's a war going on next door), so energy prices are really high.  Best solution: wear warm clothes and get used to it.  But, as you mention, he can get everywhere by public transport. So, go to one of the big box DIY stores (Baumax, Bauhaus, Hornbach) to get a space heater. use Mapy.cz to find the closest one.  e.g. Chodovská 1549/18, 14000 Prague 10 or Budějovická 409/1, 14000 Prague 4

actually, best bet is Hornbach at Cerny Most, on the metro line: Chlumecká 2398, 19300 Prague
