The holiday season in Estonia

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

Are you about to celebrate the holiday season in Estonia? In many countries and cultures, the festive season is the time for happiness and reunions/gatherings. Is it so in Estonia? How do Estonians celebrate this very special time of the year?

What about you? Will you spend the holiday season in your host country or in your home country? Will there be expat reunions/celebrations/parties in your region/town/area?

Thank you in advance for sharing!

Priscilla

Estonia is so wonderful at Christmastime/New Years. Although it is cold and dark, it is a good time to be in Estonia.  There are lights up and festivities in the old town square in Tallinn.  There is also a big bonfire festival that shouldn't be missed.  Lots of hand-made crafts for sale at stores, but also at the stadium this time of year.  Love it!
