I am about to start my job and must choose an insurance company on the government plan.聽 Can you tell me what insurance company is the best or that I should stay away from?

There are no governmental health insurances. I assume you mean the so-called public health insurance scheme (as opposed to private scheme - although both schemes are run by private insurance companies, they fall under different regulations).
For the public scheme, there is basically no difference in coverage or service between the insurers (all of which you can find at the website linked to by Phipiemar above) and there are only minimal differences in cost. So choose any one you like!
