American gas BBQ grill in Ireland

christmaswhistler

I have an American outdoor propane BBQ (gas grill) here in Dublin, Ireland.  Kenmore by name.  Complete with the American propane cylinder and regulator.

Does anybody know of where I could get the American propane cylinder filled in the Dublin area?

I am not sure if there is a huge difference between an American propane tank vs a European propane tank.  There are two options:

1 Contact a barbeque supplier such as barbecues.ie/
2 Contact a gas supplier such as boconline.ie/‎

One of them should be able to advise.

I have an American grill and the owner (also American) prior to me had a UK/IRL propane adapter put on the end of the connection so that you can use the UK/IRL propane tanks.  That will save you a lot of grief in the future as you can then buy propane anywhere and not worry about getting your own tank filled.

Patellene, thank you for the recommendation.  I know I have an American QCC Type 1 male connector that would normally connect directly to my American QCC Type 1 female connector on my propane cylinder.

Of course, your recommendation is to use the Irish propane cylinder so I need an adapter to go from the Irish cylinder to my American QCC Type 1 male connector.

I have not been able to determine the Irish propane tank connector type.  So, finding the right adapter on the Internet has been difficult.

So, could anybody name the Irish propane cylinder standard?  Or, more simply (for me!) an online store and part number or description that would suit.
