moving and carta d'identita

squeegeetom

I live in Genova and my carta d'identita lists my address in Genova. I plan to move to Rome. Do I need to tell the Genova commune that I am planning on moving and that the address listed on my carta will no longer be valid?

Hi,
it all depends on u,if u'll like to inform ur corrent commune of residence about ur movement or plan to relocate fine.but i will advice that u move to rome first as planned, then if u find rome accomodating go to the new comune where u are and request for tranfer of residency, only that they will request ur house contract, job contract,e.t.c.so i advice that u hold on to ur current residency in genova for now, otherwise,u might become a floating immigrant without a prove of abode here in italy.
Ciaooo!!!
