Looking for other expats and work!

Hi there, we are Will & Ellie a couple in their twenties from the UK and New Zealand. We decided a couple months ago to pause our travels around Europe and rent for six months in Verona in an attempt to earn some money before our next adventure. We love living here although it's coming to a stage now where we both feel like we've applied for every job going... With little response. I (Will) have worked in hospitality for the past five years and seem utterly unable to find any work in this sector despite the summer season being in full swing. We've both put adds out to teach English to students etc but with only one reply! It would also be great to meet any other expats out there? And if anyone has any work going please do let us know!? First, do you have work permits for Italy?聽 If not, you're going to find it very difficult to gain employment.聽 I occasionally read adds posted by the hotel industry, but they usually require that applicants speak fluent Italian and English, and have all required documentation in order.聽 Second, you are experiencing the employment crises in Italy; Italians can't find work either.聽 If you are limiting your search to Verona, your chances of finding work are just about zero.聽 If you are willing to live elsewhere in Italy, you might find something.
