I heard about it only in high school times to change school...but I don't think we're talking about the same thing...

Lisetta

Yes, I think it's a different process for Italian / EU citizens.

Julien

Pardon my ignorance, what is a Nulla Osta ?

Lisetta

Nulla Osta is a work permit issued to non-Italians by local Italian authorities (Questura or Sportello Unico, I believe) upon approval of the application of your prospective employer. The nulla osta is a required document in the application of the work visa to be issued in your country of residence.

(just a farther explanation)

"nulla osta" means literaly "nothing blocking", it's a document demonstrating that there is nothing and no reason to block or prevent something

rajatn

yes it will take at least 3-6 months.....I applied in August, 2010 and I got on Jan 5th, 2011. Then permesso di sogorno...too much trouble!!!
