Senior living

MacPherson

Hi, my Mom and I are very interested in moving to Rome, Italy.  The problem is we only get U.S. Social Security, so are incomes are extremely low.  Are there any super low-rent senior apts. for rent there? (Also, do they have govt. subsidized housing for seniors?  What about assisted care?  We'd appreciate any and all help we can get.  (By the way, my mother is 85.) Would that qualify her for any special deals?  Thank you very much.  M.

I cannot be of great help with ROme but have you considered moving to a cheaper place in Italy (like in Tuscany or Umbria).. Ome tends to be a very expensive city and so is housing
