Permanent residence question

Hello, I have a question regarding the application for permanent residence in NL.

I have already live for more than 4 years in the Netherlands. Two years studying my master's, third year with my zoekjaar visa and now I have an EU partner permit.

I read in the website of the IND that to ask for permanent residence you need to live in the country for five years continuously and that if you have a gap you will have to restart the five years.
So my question is, what is actually considered as a gap? I ask because when I changed from my zoekjaar to my EU partner visa, for five months I only had the endorsement sticker in my passport, so I was legally able to stay in the Netherlands.
Does this endorsement sticker also count for the five years residence? Or is it count as a gap, so I will have to start counting my five years from the moment I got my Eu partner visa?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I suspect that the proof will be what is registered with the Gemeente; if you have been registered in the Netherlands for the required length of time, that will be sufficient; it is perfectly normal for people to travel on holiday or work visits to other countries, you are not tied to the Netherlands for the duration.聽 However, if you de-registered yourself, then the clock will have started again when you returned and registered yourself again.
