Moving to Wroclaw

Hypertyper

Hello everyone,

I will be moving to Poland in October, to study at Wroclaw technical university.

I have couple questions , and would love to hear a replay :).

Is Wroclaw a safe place to live in?
Is it a good city compared to other cities in Poland?
Also, I am aiming for Mechanical engineering,
Do you suggest that i study in english or polish language?
If i studied in polish will it affect my chance for finding a job in Europe/America..etc.

Last, Some Europian friend told me that polish people do not really like having Arab friends..is this true? if so, why?

Thank you.

Hello,
congrats on choosing Wroclaw's tech university ;)  Yes, Wroclaw is safe. You will find tolerant and outgoing people there. I would advise you to study in English, because it will allow you to work anywhere in the world. If you decide to stay in Poland though, simply try to learn Polish language from your schoolmates or other friends you'll have. I heard some people didn't like Arab students in the past, but now you shouldn't get stressed. Wish you good luck here man! :)

I was living in Wroclaw for 11 years. I don't know much about Wroclaw Technical Univeristy, 'cause I'm an artist, but I can assure you that when it comes to the cultural-entertainment part of the city, there was much better 10-5 years back. I would choose Warsaw or Tricity.
