Tax question when renting in France but working in Geneva

MadEngineerLT
Hello, I am kinda considering Switzerland as my future home. But since france is next to geneva I think I could save some money and rent in france and take 30 min bus to geneva and work in office there. Question is where do I pay taxes? Will I get swiss or france passport after 10 years? How does healtcare work?

Hi,

Usually you pay taxes where you work.

I can't answer properly to all your questions but note there is a "frontalier" status and permit you can get, as many people do in the same way (working in CH and living in FR).

There should be more info on ch.ch or the Geneva state website ! see

Hope it helps
