Since the link in the post above shows no results for searches and there's very little info in the previous threads about banking sector I am posting my question here.

How is the banking culture in Muscat for expats ? Is there any constant threat of job loss ? Is the management generally vocal about this ?

To give you an analogy, to want to work for a bank only because the bank's decor looks impressive is something akin to wanting to dive into a deep pool, because it looks beautiful, without knowing if there are crocodiles lurking underneath its calm waters.

If you are unaware yet, the banking sector is one of the most highly Omanised sectors in the Sultanate, with the Omanisation percentages remaining in the high 90s. So the jobs for expatriates currently would be very few and far between.

Unless you can boast of some unmatched credentials or some impressive bragging rights with your past track record, chances of landing a job, realistically, would be zilch.

If you read through the local dailies, you will get a clearer picture of what the ground realities of jobs are, for the expatriates, across sectors.

If u read my question again, it's not asking for how to land up with a banking job. I want to know more about the culture, management & expat life in banking sector.

Let the job search aspect be taken care in the thread you posted earlier.

One can decipher that you are expressing your fervent hope and desire to work for Bank Muscat.

The helpful intent of sharing the link to post your resume seems to have completely missed its mark.

Your second post is on an altogether different tangent.

To enable the forum users to serve you with helpful answers, suggestions and recommendations, it would be better to you keep your queries coherent and comprehensible.
