Life of expats in Sohar

I am wayne from England 馃彺鬆仹鬆仮鬆仴鬆伄鬆仹鬆伩 myself wife and young boy maybe coming to live in Sohar (just finalising a contract)

We have been offered 4000gbp or 2000omani a month all accommodation and everything else will be paid for is this enough money to have a healthy lifestyle?

Where is the best place to live for expats?

Is there groups and activities for expats and do the locals mix well ?
