Which driving license to keep if I have both KSA and UAE residency

Hello,

I am unable to find answer with online search. I have a partner visa for UAE and a valid UAE driving license.

I am about to receive KSA iqama and I will be working in KSA but coming to my UAE home as well frequently.

I would like to drive in both countries. So do I convert license to KSA or keep my UAE license.

Also , if I convert my UAE license to KSA license, I read I will not get my UAE license back, Does that mean my UAE license is no longer valid or can I come to UAE and get another one issued to me to keep both licenses.?

I have explained this before.

Your UAE license is taken away and sent back to RTA.聽 It will show in your RTA file as "impounded".聽 This means that you can't just go and get a duplicate.聽 You have to go to Deira branch and do the whole process of getting it reinstated.

You have two options:

1) Don't convert and instead get a separate KSA license - going through classes and tests and all of that

2) Try to find someone who can get the license converted and still give you the UAE license back. I have seen Bangladeshi cleaners at Dallah who offer this service for extra cost - what happens is you get your license converted as normal, give up the UAE license, wait outside the office and the guy goes in the back, gets the license and hands it to you
