Opening an account on a visitor visa

kom340

Hi guys, do you know if it's possible to open an account in KSA holding a visitor visa (not a work visa, iqama)?

Thanks a lot for replies.

Ditto the previous response.  The premise of a visit visa is that you're "visiting," and therefore, have no reasonable need to open a bank account.

But why would you? If money transfer is what you wanna do, Western Union can do that.

You need an Iqama to transfer from Western Union also

No, limited amount transactions are allowed on passport.

I tried to transfer money via western union and was declined as did not have valid iqama that was in January, maybe changed since then.
