Given its reduced size, both in terms of surface and population, the Federated States of Micronesia does not offer too many opportunities to foreigners looking for study programmes. There is one college currently operating in the nation, but higher education options are limited.
There are, however, quite a few summer study programmes focused on marine biology. Those interested could spend a summer immersing themselves in oceanography or studying the local flora and fauna. While they鈥檙e at it, they can also enjoy scuba diving classes, which are quite popular in the region. The good news is that all courses are held in English, which is Micronesia鈥檚 national language.
Anyone wishing to study in Micronesia is required to obtain a student visa prior to starting classes.
