Young family living in Lae

ashwen

Hi All,

My husband and I are planning on moving to Lae as my husband has been offered a job there.

I have the view that life is what you make of it and therefore, although wary, am not put off by the big headlines with regards to crime, crime and more crime.

Just wondering, in terms of leisure, what is there to do?  I love running, is there the possibility of continuing in Lae?

Also, for my two kids, what activities are there?

I would appreciate it if anyone could pass on their advice.

Many thanks!

Hi Ashwen,
My Husband lives in Lae and I fly in and out with our children as much as I can. My Hubby is in the Hash group haha. They do running, touch, cricket, But also involves a lot of drinking ;)
I've spoken to some wives up there that do running around the Golf club. Not sure where else you could run safely. But I'm sure once your on the ground you will suss something out.
Good luck with your move, Hope it all goes well for you. You can contact me on here if you need any other info and I will try my best to help you out.
Regards
T
