Hello, I have just purchased land (leasehold)  in Tonga on which to build. I will be retiring in 5 years so have this time to build my dream home. I am English but living and working in the frozen north of Alaska. I am looking forward to a warm climate, meeting new people and to a slower pace of life.  I have a million and one questions which I will ask so hoping to get some great tips to help reduce costly mistakes. -

I do not intend to find work but may look to opening a business in Neiafu. Is this encouraged or  are there many hoops to jump through?
