Does anyone know anything about ? They have branches in Quito and Cuenca.

The cost is $120/week. They gave me a rough estimate (with the usual caveats) that it should take me about 3-6 weeks to get through their beginner courses. Given that I had little facility for learning languages even when in high school/college, I'll guess that I'm at the high end of that range, so seven hundred bucks or so. In any case, I only want to get good enough that I won't make an ass of myself any more often than usual.

The costs seem reasonable to me, but I'd be interested in any info that's out there. This school is within walking distance -- a bit more than a kilometer from my apartment -- so that makes it attractive to me.

Rosetta stone 5 disc Spanish tutorial with MP3 disc is on sale for $265. with 1 years online tutoring. I bought it and it works.
