returning to Ecuador in Nov.

We spent 3 months in South America this past winter, one month was in Ecuador. We spent the entire time in the mountains, going from Otavalo to Vilcabama. We loved Banos, spending 12 days there. We will return in Nov. and spend maybe 4 months in Ecuador trying to find a place to call home.聽 We are (69me) and 54 and have traveled extensively from Asia to SA and have decided Ecuador is probably where we want to call home. Clancy (wife) was born in Panama and we have made 2 trips there but like Costa Rica it is probably over done. Certainly we liked Cuenca but maybe a bit large for our taste-----we currently live on a small island on the Gulf of Mexico----but there may be an area nearby that would work.
