visiting cuenca need place to stay suggestions

Hi everyone! My hubby and I are in Quito right now and heading to Cuenca next week. We would love to find a place to stay that has a patio or small yard in a safe neighborhood. A little out if town is preferred being I am a nature lover that enjoys a little city.

If you guys have any suggestions I would appreciate it much!!

Can you give us an idea where to stay, maybe a little quiet, in Cuenca. We are coming down Dec 26th around noon. Thank you, we love Ecuador and have been there before but not Cuenca.
