OGA1

Does anyone know if there is a Chinatown in Quito?? A Chinese, Japanese, Indian either supermarkets or small grocery shops?

Thank you

I wish.

I love Chinese teas (black and oolong) and there seems to be nothing here. The local supermarkets have very little tea, and no loose teas at all -- the only loose teas I've seen are in one very overpriced little store in El Jardin. I sure miss the wide selection of good teas at reasonable prices in Chicago's Chinatown.

But, to answer your question: I certainly haven't covered the city yet, or even close, but I have not seen a single Asian grocery of any kind. Perhaps asking at Chinese restaurants might turn something up.
