The hospitality industry like other industries and especially service sector jobs require fluency in the national language, Spanish. It is also not a skilled-level profession so one would be in competition with not only locals but many Venezuelans who are pouring into the country and who are fluent in Spanish, accept low pay, and have easy access to 2 year visas (UNASUR) which allows them to work in Ecuador.

This is how things are currently, and to exasperate matters is high under-employment and in this context (Ecuador), underemployment is defined as the desire to work 40 hours per week/earn at least minimum wage, but unable to attain such employment.

So based on the information above, your "chance" of procuring a job in the hospitality sector is less than favorable.

Best of luck.
