I am thinking about moving to Laos as I have a possibility of work there.
My problem is that I don't have a good knowledge of Vientiane and maybe some preconceptions about life there ( not much to do after working hours!?)
I would like to have some tips, advices, experiences of people that live or used to live in Vientiane. How is life there? what to do? how easy/hard is it to meet and spend time with other expats?
Hey Matt, things to do after work...including eating, drinking and sport. Check out groups on facebook, like Vientiane social, Vientiane sport & fitness and expat laos. I'm in and out of Laos a fair bit and never connected with other ferangs in the past. I found these groups about a week ago, so hope to connect with others when I get back in a month or 2.. Hope that helps..
