working as a psychologist

Angie_4444

Hi all! I am an Italian student of psychology and I was thinking to come to Denmark to work as a psychologist. Yes, I am aware it can be hard and it's just one of the options out there. I am thinking to go there for Erasmus and maybe for a traineeship. But I am still making plans. So, I am making this post mainly to have some information/help around the working situation of working as a psychologist there. Are there many opportunities? Is it hard to get into the field? Are there any steps or advices you have for me (either specifically related to working as a psychologist or just in general)?

Any kind of advice is really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Angie, regarding working situation in denmark, I can say it can be a tough situation with lay offs and everything also with many job fields requiring you to know danish. I can't comment about your job profile specifically though.

But i would suggest you to join ²ÝÁñÉçÇøs in Copenhagen and Italian in Copenhagen fb groups and post your queries there.. you can get much larger group of people there who can be help you more specifically..

Hi Angie_4444,

In your case, I would contact the Danish association of psycologists, Dansk Psykologiforening.
