are you single or married ?
do you have children ?
will you have any other income you earn in or bring into Malta ?

"is it a good salary 20.000 EU before tax to live in Malta?" - its a higher than typical salary

I lived in Malta for 2 years as a manager. The salary is not the best in Malta... but the cost of living is very low so it works out well. 20.000 is a very good salary and not typical in Malta. I think byou will have no problems :) take care

Your monthly salary after tax will be about Eur 1,250 - 1,350 monthly, sometimes they add some government bonuses. It's high for Malta but everything is quite expensive here. Not much room for savings, but all depends on your living arrangements: rent, utilities, transportation, food etc.
