Is Almere a cool place to live?

Hello,

I am about to work in Almere and I was wondering if Almere was a cool city to live for a 29 years old person who likes going out and meeting new people?

If so, which area would you advise me to live in Almere or if not, where should I live with the idea of not travelling more than 40 minutes to go working?

Almere is basically a suburb of Amsterdam and the overflow area for those who cant afford a house in the upperclass area known as "Het Gooi". There is not much nightlife in Almere, there is the square in center with a few pubs - thats it. Dont get your hopes up.

Stay as close to Amsterdam as possible - you will commute in opposite direction so less hassle.
