Does anybody know when the Loja airport will reopen?  On the Tame website they are still offering ground transportation from Cuenca.

This is only second-hand info, nothing official, but my Ecuadorian co-workers, who fly to Loja often, say it will be closed for 9 months.  They started renovations in April, so maybe it will open in January?  It's really hard to predict when it will actually be finished because construction deadlines in Ecuador often move.
